ADNOC L&S takes delivery of its second new-build LNG carrier from Jiangnan Shipyard

ADNOC Logistics and Services plc has announced the delivery of Al Rahba, the second in a series of six newbuild liquefied natural gas carriers being constructed by Jiangnan Shipyard in China. The handover marks a key milestone in the company’s strategic fleet expansion programme, initiated in 2022.

With a cargo capacity of 175,000 cubic metres, Al Rahba is equipped with advanced energy-efficient technologies, including two next-generation dual-fuel main engines designed for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The vessel is capable of cutting methane emissions by up to 50 percent compared to older-generation vessels.

The addition of Al Rahba reinforces ADNOC L&S’s commitment to modernising its fleet in alignment with its decarbonisation goals and enhancing the company’s capabilities in global LNG transportation. The vessel will support ADNOC’s growing energy export needs while contributing to a more sustainable maritime supply chain.
