Brigade Electronics receives King’s Award for Enterprise

Brigade Electronics has been distinguished with a King’s Award for Enterprise for its exceptional performance in international trade, joining the ranks of 252 esteemed organisations across the nation honoured with this prestigious accolade. The announcement, made on Monday, May 6th, underscores Brigade’s excellence in global trade.

Founded in 1976 by Chris Hanson-Abbott OBE, Brigade Electronics employs 154 individuals in the UK. Renowned for introducing Europe to the first reversing alarm, the company has been a leader in advocating vehicle and plant safety ever since. It continues to innovate, patent new technologies, and pioneer groundbreaking products.

Philip Hanson-Abbott, managing director of Brigade Electronics, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This is a huge honour for Brigade. We are absolutely delighted to be recognised by what is one of the most prestigious business awards in the world.”

Brigade Electronics will formally receive the award in July during a ceremony presided over by His Majesty the King at Windsor Castle. Renamed as The King’s Award for Enterprise last year, the accolade continues the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II in acknowledging outstanding UK businesses. As recipients of this esteemed award, successful businesses are entitled to use the revered King’s Award Emblem for the next five years.
