Den Hartogh expands fleet with 760 new dry bulk containers

Den Hartogh Dry Bulk Logistics has bolstered its operations with the addition of 760 state-of-the-art dry bulk containers to its fleet. These newly designed 30ft bag-in-box containers are equipped with the latest specifications, ensuring superior quality and efficiency for customers, particularly in the polymer and food production industries.

This significant investment expands Den Hartogh’s fleet to approximately 5,000 containers, underscoring the company’s commitment to growth and continuous improvement in the intermodal dry bulk logistics sector. The new containers, which have arrived at Rotterdam-Botlek, are being distributed across Europe, enhancing the fleet’s capabilities and ensuring a renewed age profile.

Jim Couhig, business unit director for Den Hartogh Dry Bulk Logistics, expressed pride in the expansion, stating, “We are very proud to add these new containers to our fleet, providing the required capacity and best possible service to our customers.”

This fleet expansion is part of Den Hartogh’s broader strategy, which includes recent investments in trucks, trailers, and specialised logistics assets across Europe and Asia, highlighting the company’s ambition to lead in the intermodal dry bulk logistics industry.
