Kuwait Oil Tanker Company takes oil tanker from China’s company Bohai
Signalling the first collaboration between Kuwait and China, Kuwait Oil Tanker Company has taken delivery of the giant crude oil tanker Al-Siddeeq from Beijing’s shipbuilding company Bohai.
Abdulnasser Al-Fulaij, KOTC CEO, said: “Affirming keenness on meeting the market’s demand for crude oil and derivatives.
“It is friendly to the environment with equipment for treating diverse types of gases and other pollutants. The company’s fleet grew to 32 tankers of various sizes and purposes by adding Al-Siddeeq.”
The new tanker is 333 metres long and 60 metres wide, with a cargo capacity of nearly 323 metric tons of crude – equivalent to 2.25 million barrels. Its cargo can be unloaded in less than 24 hours.
