New ECTA best practice guideline publication in cooperation with Cefic and EFTCO
The European Chemical Transport Association, in collaboration with the European Chemical Industry Council , has published two critical best practice guidelines aimed at enhancing safety and operational standards within the chemical supply chain.
Transport Security Guidelines: The ECTA-Cefic Best Practice Guideline for Transport Security addresses the significant security risks associated with the transportation of chemicals, including dangerous goods. The document provides a comprehensive framework for mitigating and managing these risks to safeguard people, property, and the environment. By adopting these guidelines, stakeholders in the chemical supply chain can improve their security protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Guidelines for Cleaning Polymer Transport Tanks:
To address the risk of cross-contamination in polymer materials transported via bulk silo tank trailers, ECTA, Cefic, and the European Federation of Tank Cleaning Organisations (EFTCO) have released the fifth edition of the Best Practice Guidelines for Cleaning of Dry Bulk Polymer Transport Tanks. This document outlines recommended practices to ensure the effective cleaning of transport tanks, reducing contamination risks and maintaining the integrity of polymer materials.
The guideline is available here.
Both guidelines underline the commitment of ECTA, Cefic, and EFTCO to advancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability in chemical transportation and supply chain management.
