Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has solidified its partnership with voestalpine Rohstoffbeschaffung GmbH and Logistik Service GmbH through a renewed logistics agreement. The three-year contract ensures the sustainable transport of approximately ten million tonnes of raw materials and finished products annually. The agreement was formalised at voestalpine’s site in Linz, Austria.

The partnership underscores the critical role of efficient and reliable supply chains for voestalpine’s facilities in Linz and Leoben-Donawitz. Christoph Grasl, RCG board member, highlighted the breadth of the cooperation: “Our collaboration includes the transport of essential raw materials such as iron ore, HBI, coke, coal, and scrap, as well as high-quality steel products like coils, heavy plates, and sheets. We are committed to ensuring maximum supply security and providing tailored, sustainable logistics solutions with a strong emphasis on CO2 reduction and environmentally friendly rail transport.”
