TotalEnergies Lubrifiants and Ford Trucks sign a strategic international partnership

TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, a global leader in the lubricants industry, has entered a five-year strategic partnership with Ford Trucks, a prominent name in the heavy-commercial truck sector. This collaboration is set to enhance the service offerings for European Ford Trucks fleet managers by providing high-quality products and services tailored to the unique requirements of vehicles and local markets.

As part of the partnership, TotalEnergies and Ford Trucks Product Development have introduced a high-performance engine oil specifically formulated for Ford Trucks. After rigorous collaborative testing and product development, the Rubia Optima 4300 XFE 5W-20 has been developed for Ford Trucks Ecotorq engines that comply with EURO 6 standards post-January 2023.

This advanced lubricant offers optimal engine protection, improved energy efficiency, and extended engine life, addressing the demands of modern heavy-duty vehicles. Additionally, the Rubia Optima 3500 FE 5W-30, already part of the OPTIMA range, remains a viable alternative for Ecotorq engines. Together, these products provide fleet operators with innovative solutions to enhance vehicle performance and reliability.

The initial phase of the partnership spans 26 European countries, focusing on delivering innovative maintenance solutions tailored to regional needs. Looking ahead, the collaboration aims to expand into Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, catering to the growing demand for advanced performance solutions in these markets.

Jean Parizot, vice president automotive at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, expressed pride in the partnership, stating:
“We are very proud of this new partnership. Through this collaboration, TotalEnergies Lubrifiants and Ford Trucks aim to deliver fleet operators and drivers a comprehensive, high-performance solution that meets the demanding standards of the transport and logistics sector.”

Emrah Duman, vice president at Ford Trucks, highlighted the strategic importance of the alliance, commenting:
“We are delighted to announce this collaboration with TotalEnergies, as it marks another significant step forward in Ford Trucks’ mission to provide value through innovative and efficient transportation solutions. With the introduction of TotalEnergies lubricants to our customers, we believe we have delivered an alternative solution that aligns with our customers’ evolving expectations.”

Caner Sinanoğlu, managing director for France at Ford Trucks, also emphasised the shared vision, stating:
“We are pleased to collaborate with TotalEnergies. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to offering high-quality, tailored solutions that support the maintenance and performance of Ford Trucks vehicles, ensuring our customers benefit from reliable and efficient operations.”

This partnership underscores the mutual commitment of both companies to innovation and excellence, setting new benchmarks in the transport and logistics sector while meeting the evolving needs of fleet operators worldwide.
