Union Pacific expands opportunities for businesses to connect to rail

Union Pacific Railroad has recently announced the addition of five new Focus Sites to its extensive network. These Focus Sites are strategically located large-scale development sites that are well-suited for custom-built warehouses or industrial facilities. By concentrating resources and effectively managing logistics at these sites, Union Pacific can provide targeted services that address the transportation needs of businesses.

Kenny Rocker, executive vice president – marketing and sales at Union Pacific, emphasised the company’s commitment to helping businesses find the perfect site for their operations. Union Pacific’s team of regional experts specializes in understanding the unique requirements of each customer and finding tailored solutions that enable them to thrive in the marketplace.

With the inclusion of the five new Focus Sites, Union Pacific now boasts a total of 32 sites across its network. The new sites are located in Shawnee, Oklahoma; Cedar City and Grantsville, Utah; and San Antonio and Texarkana, Texas. These sites offer a combined 15,000 acres of land that is ready for development, providing businesses with ample opportunities for growth.

In addition to the Focus Sites, Union Pacific offers a Site Solutions Tool that provides access to over 6,000 potential properties located within 800 meters of its rail lines. This tool is constantly updated to ensure customers have complete visibility into the available options for establishing rail service with Union Pacific.
