Wabtec acquisitions expand capabilities of its transit business
Wabtec Corporation announced a significant strategic investment in its Transit Business with the acquisitions of Fanox and Kompozitum. These acquisitions are set to bolster Wabtec’s capabilities, expand its product portfolio, and enhance its customer base, positioning the business for sustained profitable growth.

The acquisition of Fanox strengthens Wabtec’s expertise as a leader in producing specialized relays for on-board train operations and other industrial applications, further broadening its customer base and contributing to recurring revenue streams.
The addition of Kompozitum enhances Wabtec’s manufacturing capabilities for its industry-leading pantograph portfolio by improving efficiency, quality, and competitiveness. This acquisition also facilitates entry into new markets for carbon and graphite solutions.
Both companies will be integrated into Wabtec’s Transit Business. The combined $110-million cash transaction will be funded through existing cash reserves and a revolving credit facility. Wabtec expects the acquisitions to yield strong synergies and to be immediately accretive to earnings per share (EPS) excluding transaction costs.
