UNITI expo 2026 kicks off record-breaking edition
UNITI expo 2026 opened with a record-breaking first day as large crowds of visitors gathered at Messe Stuttgart before doors officially opened at 9:00 a.m., creating strong early momentum for the international trade fair.
A busy and energetic atmosphere filled Halls 1, 3 and 5 throughout the opening day, where more than 600 exhibitors from approximately 43 countries showcased products, technologies and services to trade visitors from around the world. Covering 45,000 square metres of exhibition space, the event featured four core themed areas: technology, payment and logistics; car wash and car care; oil companies and fuel retailers; and shop and convenience.
Organisers said the strong attendance reflected continued confidence and momentum within the industry. Elmar Kühn, managing director of UNITI Services GmbH and organiser of the exhibition, said the opening day demonstrated that the sector remains focused on collaboration and forward-looking decision-making.
One of the key attractions on the opening day was the expanded Future Mobility Lounge located on the gallery level of Hall 1. The dedicated exhibition area doubled in size to 2,000 square metres following increased demand and provided visitors with insight into developments in alternative fuels and future mobility solutions.
The conference programme also drew strong participation across four dedicated forums: the UNITI expo Forum, Carwash Forum, International Forum and Future Mobility Forum. Positioned within the exhibition halls and open to all attendees, the sessions featured industry experts, retailers and sector specialists discussing current trends, operational challenges and future developments.
Major fuel retail brands including Aral and JET participated in discussions at the UNITI expo Forum alongside convenience retail experts. The International Forum focused on the theme “The Hybrid Energy Era,” while the Future Mobility Forum explored developments in alternative drive technologies and energy solutions. The Carwash Forum addressed topics including sustainable car wash operations and the future outlook for the international car wash market.
Ben Boroewitsch, chief executive officer of com-a-tec GmbH and co-organiser of the trade fair, said the opening day had set the stage for further insights and networking opportunities over the remaining days of the exhibition.
Visitors also responded positively to the venue’s expanded hospitality and catering facilities, including the established GenussGARTEN FOODCOURT, an enlarged catering area on the Carwash Piazza, and a new food court in Hall 5.
Organisers, exhibitors and attendees are now looking ahead to two further days of product launches, expert presentations and international networking opportunities as UNITI expo 2026 continues in Stuttgart.
