SUARDIAZ Group expands it fleet with the acquisition of RS Onza operating for Moeve
SUARDIAZ Group has signed an agreement through its SUARDIAZ Energy division to make the recently acquired RS Onza available to Moeve as part of efforts to support evolving maritime fuel logistics.
The RS Onza is an IMO2 chemical tanker with the capability to transport methanol and other new fuels. The vessel was recently delivered to SUARDIAZ in Singapore and has already commenced operations for Moeve in European ports, primarily in Spain.
According to SUARDIAZ, the agreement strengthens the long-standing relationship between the two companies and reflects growing demand within the energy sector for more sustainable and innovative maritime transport solutions.
The RS Onza is equipped with technology designed for the transport and delivery of alternative fuels, supporting the maritime industry’s transition toward lower-carbon energy sources.
Moeve said the addition of the vessel enhances its logistics capabilities for handling new fuels and forms part of its broader strategy to support the decarbonisation of maritime transport.
SUARDIAZ Energy operates through two business divisions: an Offshore division focused on offshore vessel operations and a Tanker division dedicated to oil tankers, chemical tankers and bunker barges. The company currently operates units based in Barcelona and Ceuta.
The company also confirmed that additional projects are under development, including new vessels scheduled for delivery in 2027 and the design of an LNG bunker vessel. SUARDIAZ said it continues to focus on larger and more flexible vessels capable of transporting petroleum products, chemicals and alternative fuels.
