BASF optimises plant logistics with new 45-foot tank containers
With its new 45-foot tank containers, BASF has optimised its own plant logistics and said that it is “making a strong commitment” to Schiene at the same time.
The containers have the volume of an entire tank car, are stackable and specially designed for transport by train.
On the factory premises, they move to the various charging stations with the help of driverless intelligently controlled tractors.
DB Cargo said of BASF’s new tank containers: “The containers could set a new standard in logistics.”
