Chouest Group completes acquisition of Alliance from Helix Energy Solutions Group
The Chouest Group has completed the acquisition of the Alliance business from Helix Energy Solutions Group, with Alliance set to be integrated into the group’s recently formed Champagne Energy Solutions (CES) subsidiary. The transaction expands CES’s offshore decommissioning and plug & abandonment (P&A) platform and advances the Chouest Group’s broader strategy to deliver fully integrated, end-to-end solutions focused on late-life asset management.
The deal builds on the recent formation of CES and is described by the group as a significant step in developing a scalable, integrated presence in the decommissioning and P&A market. executive vice president Dino Chouest said Alliance represented a strong strategic fit for the group.
