Manila Harbor Center rebrands to Manila Multipurpose Terminal

Manila Harbour Centre (MHC) has undergone a transformative rebranding initiative in 2024, unveiling a new name, logo, and website to mark a new chapter in its operations.

Now known as Manila Multipurpose Terminal, the company’s rebranding reflects its status as the largest and busiest international bulk and breakbulk operations hub in the Philippines. This strategic move is aimed at highlighting the company’s continuous growth and aligning its identity with its parent company, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI).

Following ICTSI’s acquisition of Manila Multipurpose Terminal in 2021, the terminal experienced remarkable improvements in productivity, thanks to streamlined processes and the integration of new technologies. Leveraging ICTSI’s global expertise in port operations, Manila Multipurpose Terminal has been able to seize new opportunities and adapt to the changing dynamics of global trade.

Phillip Marsham, ICTSI’s global director for Manila Multipurpose Terminal, expressed the rationale behind the rebranding, stating, “As a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc., we embarked on this rebranding initiative to echo the ICTSI Group’s global standards and industry leadership.”

He added, “Manila Multipurpose Terminal embodies a renewed corporate vision that centres on excellence, efficiency, and innovation. Embracing ICTSI’s values, we are excited to move forward to a new chapter in general cargo operations in the Philippines.”

In addition to the name change, Manila Multipurpose Terminal has introduced a new logo that reflects its alignment with the ICTSI brand. The revamped website, www.mmt.ictsi.com, serves as a comprehensive platform for customers to access information about the company and its services.

With an annual capacity of 10 million metric tonnes, Manila Multipurpose Terminal’s 13.2-hectare facility plays a crucial role in serving major industries such as construction, mining, power, telecommunications, manufacturing, and agriculture. The company remains dedicated to its mission of nation-building and is committed to staying at the forefront of innovation to meet the evolving needs of the market.
