Nanjing Simijia Anticorrosion Engineering Co completes 14 small portable tanks

Last week, Säkaphen GmbH’s authorised applicator in China, Nanjing Simijia Anticorrosion Engineering Co Ltd, finished 14 small portable tanks with electrically conductive baked phenolic Si 17® E, said Christoph Fischer-Zernin, commercial director of Säkaphen.

Announcing the news, Fischer-Zernin said the coating used, (Si 17® E), is chemically resistant to various liquid and gaseous aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, organic and inorganic acids, salt solutions, oils and greases, and acidic to weakly alkaline liquids up to maximum pH 8.

Säkaphen Si 17® E also provides high impact resistance and abrasion resistance. The surface has hydrophobic properties and prevents caking, fouling and incrustation. The coating is also resistant to water vapour diffusion (≤ 85°C).

It is suitable for the coating of steel containers for storage and transportation of inflammable liquids classified as dangerous according to class AI/AII and B as well as for water endangering flammable liquids (aliphatic and aromatic chlorinated hydrocarbons) due to an electrical volume resistance below 107Ω.
